FAQ
What are Sensual Shibari Workshops?
Sensual Shibari Workshops are immersive experiences that blend the art of Japanese rope bondage with mindfulness and tantric practices. They focus on building emotional, physical, and spiritual connections through the art of tying and being tied.
Who can attend these workshops?
Anyone interested in exploring the art of Shibari in a mindful, respectful, and consensual manner is welcome. We embrace all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all participants.
Do I need any prior experience in Shibari or tantra to join?
No prior experience is necessary. Our workshops are designed to accommodate all levels, offering a gentle introduction for beginners while providing deeper insights for those with more experience.
What should I bring to a workshop or class?
Comfortable clothing and an open mind are essential. If you have Shibari ropes, feel free to bring them; otherwise, ropes will be provided. Personal items like water bottles are also recommended.
What is the cancellation policy for workshops and private classes?
Each class and course have different cancellation policies. Thet are alway clearly declared in the registration form before paying.
Is Shibari a sex thing?
Shibari can be sexsual but doesn’t have to be. The focus in my workshops is on connection, mindfulness, and embodiment. Participants set their own boundaries and are encouraged to communicate their comfort levels. You will be invited to practice entering your sensual selves, meaning to find pleasure in movement, body connection and the felt senses.
Can I come with/without a partner?
Some of the classes are designed for couples and some are designed for rotating partners. Feel into if you are open to exploring with others or if you only want to tie together with your partner, and find the classes that suit you the best.
Is it safe?
Safety is a top priority in all my workshops. You will learn essential safety techniques, including both emotional and physical safety by communication, consent, risk awareness and body knowledge. To be aware of safety is a great reason to learn Shibari from a professional.
Are private classes available?
Absolutely. Private classes offer a personalized Shibari experience, tailored to your individual needs, interests, and skill level. They are perfect for those seeking a more intimate and focused learning environment.
What is the difference between Private Coaching and Private tying experiences?
Private Coaching involves me teaching you the art of Shibari, including techniques, intimacy, and embodiment practices. Private tying experiences, on the other hand, involve me tying you, allowing you to experience the sensations and dynamics of being tied. Coaching is instructional, while sessions are experiential.
Expect this
The teachings have their roots in exploring intimate connections, where the ropes become a tool in order to practice (or come back to) something more fundamentally human, sensuality and pleasure. In order to experience sensuality a deep state of presence is needed, which we will carefully and with curiously approach through the teachings.
In the classes you will together with others study rope technique, how to create safety, move with confidence and communicate, in order to meet in sincerity, playfulness and trust. You will get the chance to play and practice tying within different themes and sensations, exploring tempo, tenderness, atmosphere, pain and soft touch
We will meet in what is; being a beginner, a learner, laughter, surrender, challenge, pleasure, curiosity and technicalities.
You will walk away with a beautiful experience, a new set of skills and a deeper connection with yourself.
