Learn at your own pace

Private tuition gives you the room to ask basic questions, pursue one technical problem or build a longer course of study. I adjust the session to what you already know and the kind of rope practice you want to develop.

Choose your focus

We can work with rope handling, knots, friction, harnesses, improvisation, body positioning, safety, pacing or the design of a complete scene. Technique matters, but so do timing, attention and the way your hands communicate.

How a session works

We agree on a focus before we begin. I demonstrate in manageable stages, watch you practise and explain what I see. You will know what to repeat, what to change and why.

You are welcome to learn through self-tying. If you want to practise on another person and do not have a partner, ask whether a rope model can be arranged. Availability and any additional fee will be confirmed before booking.

What you take with you

You leave with techniques you can reproduce, safety points you understand and a clear next step for practice. I would rather teach you a small amount well than crowd the hour with material your hands cannot yet remember.
